Stonehard - past, present and future: Stonehard is a Heavy/thrash metal band. Stonehard was originally formed sometime around 2000-2001 by Phil Nuse (Rythem guitar - vocals). Throughout the years there were many changes in the bands formation, and the band eventually broke up in 2004. In 2008, Phil decided to reincarnate his lifelong dream and started looking for musicians for the new band. It was only in 2009 that he met Paul who later became the drummer and second creative energy source for Stonehard. In 2010 Paul and Phil started writing new material for their first EP and looking for additional players. Joined by Tal Rubinstein on lead guitar (who was later dismissed of his duty due to personal reasons) the band went into the studio on the 1st of August 2010 and finished the recording of their EP sometime in mid September. Due to personal differences the band had to let go of their bassist right before the recording sessions began and Phil had to step in playing the bass guitar on all tracks. Later that year Erez joined the band and took the roll of the bassist from hell. The last band member to join was Aviel who was immediately acknowledged for his guitar skills and passion for music. The fact that each member comes from a different musical direction allowed the band to evolve beyond old-school "traditional" Thrash metal. While remaining true to their influences it is noticeable that Stonehard is a band that combines Old school riffing and more modern type of playing with a modern sound. Currently the band is active and is shopping for a record deal and some shows. Phil - " Stonehard is all about pure fun and fuck off attitude. One of my favorite musicians said - dear to dream big, and that's what we do, we live - to perform live! and now that the EP is out there and the band is complete we look forward to hit the road and bang some heads".
